Enrollment Priorities Task Force

The Enrollment Priorities Task Force will begin meeting on Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the District Office, Conference Room D, to develop an enrollment process that supports Board priorities and school boundaries to be enacted in 2019-20 when Slater opens. Enrollment priorities are the policies that determine how students are assigned to schools within boundaries.

The task force will meet monthly. It will begin its work by reviewing priorities, studying the data and reviewing Board direction. The task force is made up of parents, staff members and community members. Every residential area of the District is represented.

Members are:
Galen Coleman, Bubb Elementary
Stephanie Rake, Castro Elementary
Andrea Maes, Graham Middle School
Sheetal Shah, Huff Elementary School
Lauren Chudzik, Landels Elementary School

Observers are welcome, but now that the selection process is complete, the task force is closed to new members.

The group's charge is to:
• provide recommendations on how to streamline the enrollment priorities administrative regulation
• look at best practices in enrollment that could help mitigate the impact of future growth
• provide a recommendation on grandfathering policy to help enact the new boundaries
