Online Security

MVWSD uses a variety of methods to keep students and teachers safe online.

The platforms we use are
* Google Classroom
* Google Meet (Video Conferencing)
* Other tools that are on the MVWSD approved app list (e.g. See Saw, ClassDojo, etc)
* Zoom meetings accessed through Clever (We don’t use the free version of Zoom due to privacy and security concerns. Please see the infographic below for the ways we secure Zoom)

We do NOT use social media to contact students or use social apps like Marco Polo, Snapchat, Instagram, etc.

Videos may be shared only with the students in the class (Google Classroom recommended).

The technology agreement that parents and students signed is in effect during distance learning.

To protect students' and teachers' privacy, no one should screenshot/record classes’ online images and share them on public platforms, like social media (per Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act, and California Education Code Section 51512)
