Connect with us!
Check your school website or the blue bookmark coming home to you this week that outlines your school’s official channels of communication: your school and this newsletter, emails from your school and MVWSD, school facebook page and school webpage. We want to stay in touch and are continually working to refine communications.

Jose Antonio Vargas Elementary is open
Thanks to the work of many staff members, construction crew members and volunteers, MVWSD’s newest school, Jose Antonio Vargas Elementary, was dedicated on Aug. 15. Jose Antonio Vargas spoke to a packed MUR about what community means to him and the importance of teachers in his life. See the media coverage here.

The Food for Thought truck is here!
The colorful mobile kitchen was made possible by a grant from Second Harvest Food Bank and Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. Supervisor Joe Simitian was among the first to see it. Throughout the year, students will interact with the truck for nutritional education, as well as for food service. Parents, please stop by. We'd love to tell you about it. www.mvwsd.org/foodtruck.
