High Fives: Graham STEM, Mistral’s workshops

Three groups from Graham Middle School's STEM 7 class are among 300 state finalists nationwide in this year’s Samsung Solve for Tomorrow challenge. They have won a Samsung tablet for their classroom and will proceed to the next round. This contest encourages students to creatively use STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skills to solve a community challenge. Their project involves making pesticides that will be safer for the environment using specific microorganisms as bioindicators to determine the health of the land/waterway.

Mistral Elementary teachers and School Community Engagement Facilitator Eb Lopez are leading an eight-workshop series for parents to help their children be successful in their learning and prepare to take the English Language Proficiency Assessments of California (ELPAC). They are teaching parents strategies to help children with reading, comprehension, speaking and understanding the ELPAC. The first one was well-attended. Thank you!

Graham's Choir and Dance Teams' Winter Concert: Dec. 12

Please join us for Graham’s Choir and Dance Teams' Winter concert on Thursday December 12th at 7 pm in the Graham Auditorium.
