Staff members’ retirements

This is typically the time of year we celebrate our retirees and employees with milestone years of service. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to do that in person due to COVID-19. The district will honor employees with years of service honors in-person in the fall.

We offer a tribute to our retirees here. Thank you for your years of service to MVWSD!

For parents: Return to school survey

MVWSD wants to know your thoughts about your children returning to school in August, either virtually or on-campus during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a different survey than the one sent out by the Santa Clara County Office of Education this weekend. Thank you in advance for your feedback that will be used in reopening planning.

Please click here to access the survey.

Bond Oversight committee seeks community representatives

The District is seeking qualified persons to serve on the Bond Oversight Committee for the District's Measure T Bond Program.

Representatives monitor, provide oversight and ensure accountability to the funds received by the District, including an annual report to the Board regarding the actual uses of such funds.

Applications can be mailed to: Mountain View Whisman School District, Attn: Dr. Rebecca Westover, Chief Business Officer, 1400 Montecito Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043 or emailed to mayala@mvwsd.org.

MVEF grant to MVWSD for COVID-19 relief

Thanks to the incredible generosity of parents and community partners the Mountain View Educational Foundation had its best fundraising year in history! In addition to granting over $660K to the district to fund art, music, science and athletics this school year, MVEF was able to give an additional $50,000 as a COVID-19 response to MVWSD to support online learning needs in these unprecedented times. This grant went directly to school sites providing them with the flexibility to support their staff’s teaching needs.

MVEF is grateful to live in a community where education is supported and valued. Thank you, parents, and congratulations to all MVWSD 8th-grade graduates! Happy Summer!
