link to summer learning graphicMVWSD is excited to launch its first virtual Summer Learning Plan for all of our students. This student/parent-directed program will help students keep their skills up over the summer, as well as enrich them in areas of our Profile of a Graduate. We encourage your child to participate. Students and families may participate in any or all of the activities listed over the course of this optional 5-week program to be held June 15- July 18.

Please visit the MVWSD Summer Learning Plan webpage starting June 12th to view each grade level’s Summer Learning Plan.

Reading and Writing
Students will be able to select reading material from books they have at home or from the free website links included in the plan. They will have daily choices for activities to engage them in thinking about what they read and writing specific reflections on each day’s material. In addition, they can access i-Ready to continue supporting their skills in reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and more!

Included in the math plans are:
* 10 days worth of math practice pages. These pages can be downloaded and include parent support pages and math tools that students can use to help solve problems.
* Khan Academy links to each grade level or course content
* i-Ready links to continue working on the child’s instructional math path
* Links to YouCubed to engage in math a little bit differently with some fun math projects

Profile of a Graduate
The plans will be updated every Friday with a new Profile of a Graduate activities. The Profile of a Graduate links will engage your children in a variety of topics each week to support their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration skills and more.
