Welcome to the Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment page for the Mountain View Whisman School District. Our goals is to ensure that all students learn to the best of their abilities and are prepared for the world ahead. Curriculum (what we teach), instruction (how we teach) and assessment (how we know students are learning) are at the heart of our district. The Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment plays a significant role in the following areas:

• Development, alignment, and implementation of curriculum areas for Pre-K – grade 8

• Planning and coordination of district-wide professional development and implementation of effective instructional practices

• Planning and coordination of district-wide student assessment and analysis of student achievement information
