Saturday with the Superintendent, Oct. 21

Do you have a question or comment about MVWSD or just want to connect? Join Dr. Ayindé Rudolph for informal conversation on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 2-3:30 p.m. at Panera, 1035 El Monte Ave.

Earthquake Drill coming up

The District will be conducting its annual earthquake exercise sometime in the next couple weeks. This is an opportunity for staff and students to test our emergency response actions and make improvements.  Oct. 16 is also the week of the Great ShakeOut, which is a good time to go over your family's emergency procedures. We appreciate your support of these efforts to ensure our students’ safety.

New face on campus: Kevin Sanders, Capital Projects

You’ll see a new face on campus working with school construction. The District recently hired Kevin Sanders as Director of Capital Projects.

Kevin has supervised several bond projects at school districts and community colleges. Most recently, he directed construction at Washington Unified School District (Sacramento), East Side Union High School (San Jose) and South San Francisco Unified. He also has worked at Contra Costa Community College and the City of Gilroy. He is a graduate of the project management program at Cal State Sacramento.

At MVWSD, he will work with construction management, Greystone West, to oversee Measure G and district capital projects.
