Theuerkauf Preschool has had its Tier 5 rating, the highest attainable, reconfirmed in April through the state's Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS). Both sites of the MVWSD preschool program have received a Tier 5 (Platinum) rating from the state: Theuerkauf Preschool and Castro Preschool. General ed preschool programs that are State Preschool funded are currently evaluated for the quality based on several criteria. Formal evaluations for re-rating occur every two years. All QRIS scores are made available to the public through First5.

Our program has over 200 spaces for children ages 3 - 5. MVWSD now offers both part-day and full-day preschool classes to families of all income levels. Some families may qualify for FREE part-day or low-cost full-day preschool based on income and family size. There are full cost spaces available for families who do not qualify for subsidized services. Apply now for the 2018-19 school year while spaces are still available.
